My approach to treating patients

Welcome to my website. My name is Dr. Michael Meese. I am a Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in Sports Medicine and athletic trauma. I have been in private practice in Bergen County, New Jersey since 1996. My interests include treating complex injuries of the knee and shoulder. In addition, I routinely evaluate and treat other musculoskeletal disorders of the spine, neck, back, hip, elbow, hand, foot, and ankle. I am a proponent of non-operative treatment and utilize the most advanced minimally invasive surgical procedures as a last treatment option. I maintain my own physical therapy facility on-site for the convenience of my patients. Most surgical procedures are performed at my state of the art surgicenter located just a few minutes from my office. Dr. Jefferey F. Lakin, M.D
Dr. Lakin has over 25 years of experience in treating patients with orthopedic injuries and disorders. He completed his undergraduate education at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania. He obtained a B.S. degree in Natural Science, and graduated Summa Cum Laude. He obtained his Medical Doctor Degree, Surgical Residency and Orthopedic Surgical Residency, from The New Jersey Medical School in Newark New Jersey. Following his Orthopedic Residency, he completed one year hand fellowship at Columbia University Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, in New York City, New York. After his Fellowship, he has made New Jersey his home professionally and personally.
Laurie Krum, Nurse Practitioner
Laurie has 35 years of nursing experience in the field of orthopaedic surgery. She has been the recipient of the Excellence in Nursing Practice Award. Laurie's primary focus is to cultivate a professional environment where each patient feels comfortable while receiving personal attention and exceptional medical care. Laurie was nominated for the New Jersey Governors Nursing Merit Award.
Michele Carney, P.T.
Michele graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Rehabilitation Services from Springfield College and went on to earn a Masters degree in Physical Therapy from New York Medical College. She has over 18 years experience specializing in outpatient orthopedics with a focus on knee and shoulder rehabilitation as well as sports medicine rehabilitation.
Adrienne Panso, Administrator
Adrienne graduated from William Paterson University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Business Management. She has 35 years experience in medical office management. The last twenty years have been with Dr. Michael Meese. Adrienne oversees the daily operations of the practice. She is committed to making our patient's overall experience a positive one.
